McChicken Delicate Recipe – The Yellow Saffron Recipe

Giallo Zafferano, also known as, Yellow Saffron, for English speakers (they really are) — is glamming up some burgers at McDonald’s Italia over the summer months. I’m not sure if it’s a permanent change out there.

I was sort of wishing that there was a Yellow Saffron better known in the US. The company has a Yellow Saffron group, but since the chef’s media company is only working (or at least for the most part) in Italy, Yellow Saffron is just a few videos for English speakers and nothing more. For that matter, there’s no guarantee that Yellow Saffron would consult with McDonald’s or the fast food industry. It would be nice. It would make me proud somehow.

I believe this is one of the Giallo Zafferano Burgers new at McDonald’s Italia!

(It has zucchini topping; the burger isn’t made with zucchini — just chicken.)

Meat and potato terrine mascé – Meat

If I had to prepare a Fourth of July on my own?

That’s a really mean question to make me answer on my blog. My Facebook followers are kind of mean and rotten….

Well, I guess I would do the same as I do on every holiday, which is choose the meat cuts and side ingredients and make someone else worry about it and if it’s fewer people, simply plan to carry-out, which I like.

So chicken, pork chops, some steak, ground beef, ground lamb & ground turkey (fine with me, but don’t know if it can be found), gyro meat then; and brats and some frozen fish. (I’m not fond of hot dogs, so no one gets that from me if I have to prep the list.) Flank steaks for appetizers maybe. Then breads to match, potatoes of course, onions, green and red and yellow peppers, broccoli, green beans, red beats, white turnips, cauliflower, radishes, lettuces, carrots, peas, mayonnaise, dressings (have to poll for that), relishes, ketchups, mustards, pickles (have to poll for all those), BBQ sauce (goes without saying). I must be forgetting things. Whatever for the grills, to run the grills. What else? Whatever anyone needs to make anything with those things. Serving things. Regular drinks and coolers (leave that to someone else, besides the juice, water and milk and tea and soda). Do you see why this is useless for me? Oh I forgot, zucchini and butternut squash (love those).

I’m sure I’ve forgotten something. And I still like to eat carry-out, so probably something from carry-out. (I’d rather not say: my Facebook page is really mean.) I like Asian food on all holidays. I just do.

Oh! And of course, some way to come up with stuffed pasta and/or lasagna.

That’s about it though.

I prefer all these recipes from the last few weeks!

I forgot cake and ice cream.

Chocolate and saffron cheesecake – Cakes and tarts

This is one of my favorite cheesecakes, next to almond creme cheesecake, which is sometimes a little complicated. (I don’t have a ready recipe for that and traditionally, it is a winter holiday cheesecake: the almond creme cheesecake.) But the taste of saffron, gives the cheesecake a special dimension that you are not used to tasting and brings out all the vanilla creme tartness of the rest of the ingredients.

So, if you are not sure what dry chocolate biscuits to you, I suggest using Stella D’Oro’s Chocolate Margherites. They are delicious by themselves, but they should easily work for the crust requirements. (I have provided a picture of them for easy identification on a shopping visit to a standard grocery’s cookie isle.)

Squid fry – Fish

Since I introduced so many Italian ingredients into Independence Week, I couldn’t leave out fried squid. This is a real snack-meal for picnics and BBQ’s if brought to the table on time from the kitchen. So you’d have to be having an at home picnic for it. But, it’s also true, that, it seems to make its way into a lot of Italian and Greco-Roman Festivals and National Festivals of all kinds.

I have forgotten that I intended to feature listings of restaurants all over the world (from the internet), because I like to find restaurants of all kinds all over the internet.

This will probably make most people turn down my emails, but it might be all for the best, given the number of posts I have each day some days.

I don’t have an explanation for any of the places that I will pick, and this post will get lost for sure, but, without further apologies, this is the first in a long, long time noted.

Grilled Zucchini Lasagna – TODAY.com

I saw this at the last minute, it is out of context completely now and I could not leave it off today’s list. Sorry for the way it looks on today’s page.

Highly unlikely, but I might miss a few consecutive days in the coming two to three weeks (June 29 – July 13), but not to worry I will be here on and off otherwise. (Or else, never gone, not sure yet.)

Mom’s Italian Bread Recipe | Taste of Home

A real burger and steak sandwich lover, I have a fetish about sometimes eating my beef between two slices of Italian white bread. (A lot of people would say, garlic bread, but no, I mean durable, Italian white bread; even though the other is outrageous, yes.) It’s extremely unconventional and inconvenient though and probably not the best party food. But just to state it and remind everyone that it can be done … so I have added some Italian white bread to today’s posts, because of the lists of possible grill day foods and that a lot of it will be grilled meat and/or vegetables, that might do well between two slices of Italian white bread.
