Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Pasta

One of my favorite pasta dishes takes an underrated vegetable, broccoli rabe, and makes it the star of the dish. I present, broccoli rabe and sausage pasta. This recipe is based off of one of my favorites from A Beautiful Plate.

Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Pasta

Yield: 4 Servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil

8 ounces Hot Italian pork sausage, casings removed

5-6 large garlic cloves, finely chopped

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1 large bunch broccoli rabe (see Note 1)

8 to 12 ounces penne pasta

Salt

Grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese, for serving
