Reginette are a type of pasta shape as you see here in the picture, to be sure; so you might find them also as thin lasagna noodles, they are lasagna noodles about the fourth of the size of regular lasagna noodles.

The first thing to note when it comes to BBQ sauce is that the sauce itself does not need to be smoky. In fact, the original BBQ sauces would certainly not have been as they were, quite simply, sauces with which to glaze meat prior to cooking on a BBQ – this of course being where the smoky flavour comes from. Lots of BBQ sauces that you can buy have added smoke flavour (which I am certainly not against, I really like it) because they are aiming to recreate the flavour of a piece of food which has already been cooked. For this reason, I have left the choice of smoked/unsmoked paprika in this recipe up to you. You could also add liquid smoke if you like a particularly potent flavour.

These are a fabulous weeknight dinner dish with a little hummus and salad, or a wonderful addition to a big Middle Eastern spread. Sometimes I add a green jalapeño to the mix, just to spice things up! Have a go, they are very yummy and filling.

Ingredients

Half a cup of almond meal or LSA mix

An onion

A capsicum

1 kg minced lamb

5 cloves of garlic, crushed

½ tsp ground cardamom

½ tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp ground cloves

½ tsp pepper

1 tbs salt

Method

Chop your veges fine. Now in a big bowl combine the mince, veges, almond meal, seasoning and spices. Roll tablespoons of the mixture into balls and then lengthen out into ovals. Stroopwafels Recipe | King Arthur Flour

Well since I didn’t find a regular outer cookie for the inner cookie cream below, besides in a complete recipe, I thought to post these, because these are really good with a thin-spread-over line of extra cookie cream filling over the top.

And otherwise, when your kids or friends are tearing apart all the Oreos in a sack trying to make better Oreos, now they can do it to each one! I remember all the years of my own doubts and though, for me, it made excellent material to write about, I don’t know that everyone else has that luxury, in which case, that’s sure aggravating and something to dream about. (Just putting it out there.)
